The principal function of a radiologist is to make a diagnosis of a palpable nodule. It is essential to be able to clearly visualize the nodule, so as to be ableto determine the characteristics of its interna! structure, including calcification, shape, borders outline and details of infiltration. For this purpose, the author has constructed a framewhich is adaptable to the cone of an X-Ray apparatus, and makes it possible to compress the maroma on the X-Ray Table, thus obtaining excellent photographs ofthe nodules if examined in this manner.

La función principal del radiólogo es efectuar el diagnóstico de un nódulo que se palpa. Es esencial visualizarlo lo más correctamente posible para apreciar sus características de estructura interna incluyendo calcificaciones, bordes, contornos y detalles de infiltración. Para tal fin el autor ha construido un marco metálico que se adapta al cono del aparato de rayos y permite comprimir la mama sobre la mesa de rayos obteniendo excelentes enfoques de los nódulos así fijados.
