The paper presents sorne tecnical details, relative with the use of retroesternal gastric tube, the carefullypreparation of the gastric vascular pedicles, the management of surgical resection and its extension. It's describedthe procedure in order to extend the tube if it results too- short. A brief description of cervical approachis exposed, as well' as tecnical details of retroesternal gastric tube passage and the results of thisTokio's Cancer Institute.
