Resumen:

In recent years, our group has synthesized oxazole-tetrahydropyran hybrid compounds, some of which have shown antiproliferative activity against human tumour cells and selectivity with respect to normal cells. We are currently looking for derivatives of these compounds and facing certain limitations in terms of structural modifications. For this reason, we have proposed new hybrids taking tetrahydropyran as the main building block (due to its individual activity and presence in anticancer compounds), with the aim of finding structurally simplified lead compounds, which allow subsequent derivatizations and improve the selectivity and antiproliferative activity.
