The details of the analysis are explained in the “Materials and Methods” section of the above mentioned article. Briefly, electrophysiological recordings from individual neurons were analyzed with the software IgorPro (Wamemetrics). The results of the statistical analysis performed for each table are also presented: Wilcoxon signed-rank test for paired and Wilcoxon–Mann–Whitney test for non-paired data. In each table, the “Exp #” column represents the number of individual experiments, except for table 4Gb, where it represents the number of events recorded from 20 different neurons. Table 5Eb shows fluorescence intensity (in arbitrary units) measured along a line in the Apical Process or in the soma.
