[abstract]
--------------- SUMMARY.- Extensive agriculture in Uruguay utilizes the majority of herbicides marketed in the country, with soybean being the main agricultural crop. The evolution of herbicide resistant weeds has generally led to an increase in the use of these products. Theobjective of this study was to evaluate different densities of oats and rye sown prior to soybean harvest, combined with different termination methods (chemical "C" rolling "R", or reduced chemical + rolling "CR"), on weed infestation and yield in the following soybean crop.
