Introduction: Usage of antipsychotics during childhood is a public health’s problem. General objective: Getting to know the evolution of antipsychotic dispensation in children born between 2007 and 2015, users from Centro Hospitalario Pereira Rossell. Specific objectives: Getting to know the outline of antipsychotic dispensation from 2015 to 2021 of those children and compare dispensation during the previous year and the following year since the start of COVID-19 pandemic. In the last few years aripiprazole has been used commonly. In 2015, 24 (23%) children picked up more than one antipsychotic. Risperidone was dispensed on average during 43 months. There were 33 and 30 antipsychotics picked up during the previous and the following year of COVID-19 pandemic start, respectively. Conclusion: Despite limitations on the study, it showed that antipsychotics were dispensed in a sustained period of time, in a considerable number there were more than one antipsychotic, and that risperidone was the most frequently prescripted. Few changes on the dispensing in the following year of COVID-19 pandemic declaration have been spotted, that should be profoundly studied.
