El presente trabajo final de grado se plantea analizar los efectos del trato negligente en la primera infancia, a partir de los aportes de la teoría del apego. Desde una perspectiva reflexiva, se busca comprender cómo las experiencias de negligencia, muchas veces invisibles o naturalizadas, afectan la construcción de los vínculos afectivos primarios y configuran patrones de apego que marcarán el desarrollo posterior de los niños y niñas. Del mismo modo, se reflexiona sobre las consecuencias que este tipo de experiencias puede generar en el desarrollo emocional, social y cognitivo de los niños específicamente cuando ocurren en los primeros años de vida. De esta manera, se reconoce a la primera infancia como una etapa de especial vulnerabilidad frente al maltrato, dado que durante este período se comienza a consolidar la personalidad y el desarrollo de las capacidades de regulación emocional. Para abordar esta temática, se adoptó una metodología de tipo monográfica, basada en una revisión de la literatura científica disponible. Se trabajó con investigaciones clásicas cómo las de John Bowlby y Mary Ainsworth, quienes sentaron las bases de la teoría del apego, así cómo con estudios contemporáneos de autores nacionales e internacionales qué profundizan en la comprensión del maltrato infantil, y en particular, de la negligencia. Está estrategia permitió integrar diversas perspectivas teóricas y hallazgos empíricos relevantes, brindando un mirada actualizada sobre la problemática. En esta línea, se sostiene que la negligencia intrafamiliar continúa siendo una problemática escasamente visibilizada, tanto en los ámbitos de investigación como de intervención. Por ello, este trabajo busca contribuir a su visibilización, subrayando su alta prevalencia y su influencia en el bienestar infantil. Reconocer y comprender las dinámicas del trato negligente resulta fundamental para promover prácticas de prevención, detección temprana y abordaje adecuado, que permitan resguardar los derechos de la infancia y favorecer su desarrollo integral.

The main focus of this final degree project is the analysis of the influence of neglect in early childhood, understood from the contributions of attachment theory. The central objective is to understand how neglectful treatment affects the development of early affective bonds and the configuration of attachment patterns in children exposed to this form of abuse. It also seeks to reflect on the consequences that this type of early experience can generate in the emotional, social and cognitive development of infants. In this way, early childhood is recognized as a stage of special vulnerability to abuse, since during this period the personality and the development of emotional regulation skills begin to be consolidated. To address this issue, a monographic methodology was adopted, based on a review of the available scientific literature. We worked with classic research such as that of John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, who laid the foundations of attachment theory, as well as with contemporary studies by national and international authors that deepen the understanding of child abuse, and in particular, neglect. This strategy made it possible to integrate various theoretical perspectives and relevant empirical findings, providing a broad and updated view of the problem. Along these lines, it is argued that intra-family negligence continues to be a problem that is scarcely visible, both in the areas of research and intervention. Therefore, this work seeks to contribute to their visibility, underlining their high prevalence and their influence on child well-being. Recognizing and understanding the dynamics of negligent treatment is 3essential to promote prevention, early detection and appropriate approach practices, which allow safeguarding children's rights and promoting their integral development.
