The Council of National Economy: A brief study of a long-forgotten constitutional body
The Council of National Economy is an organ that, despite of being provided in the Constitution since the reform of 1934 until today, has somehow managed to stay out of the spotlight for decades, until the law 17.935, and its Regulatory Decree 299/006 made possible its implementation. The functional importance that this body represents for the Economy of our country and to our society and its close relationship with the government -especially The Executive, most drivereconomic policy- reveals the need to delve further into the subject.
