El presente trabajo tiene como objetivo compartir algunas reflexiones sobre los alcances del estudio con trayectorias y experiencias de vida en investigaciones cualitativas, destacando la importancia de los relatos y narrativas para explorar y analizar dinámicas y procesos sociales. En particular, nos interesa recuperar los aportes de este enfoque para una investigación en curso sobre adolescentes con medidas alternativas a la privación de la libertad, en provincia de Buenos Aires (Argentina). Comenzaremos realizando aproximaciones al campo de estudios biográficos como marco referencial para las investigaciones sobre trayectorias. Recuperaremos las distintas corrientes y tradiciones investigativas, así como sus principales supuestos teóricos y metodológicos. Seguidamente, profundizaremos en la categoría de trayectorias, subrayando la importancia de las dimensiones espaciales y temporales en su estudio y luego presentaremos los aportes y alcances del enfoque biográfico tanto para nuestra investigación como para otras investigaciones cualitativas interesadas en las trayectorias y experiencias de vida de los sujetos.

This work aims to share some reflections on the scope of the study with trajectories and life experiences in qualitative research, highlighting the importance of stories and narratives in exploring and analyzing social dynamics and processes. We are interested in recovering the contributions of this approach for ongoing research on adolescents with alternative measures to deprivation of liberty in Buenos Aires (Argentina). We will begin by approaching biographical studies as a reference framework for research on trajectories. We will recover the different currents, research traditions, and their main theoretical and methodological assumptions. We will delve into the category of trajectories, highlighting the importance of the spatial and temporal dimensions in their study. Then, we will present the contributions and scope of the biographical approach for both our research and other qualitative investigations that are interested in the trajectories and life experiences of the subjects.
