El presente documento constituye un avance en la identificación del uso que hace la literatura económica del término "Sentiment". Con este objetivo, se identificaron en la plataforma Scopus los documentos vinculados al concepto e identificados como parte de la literatura en economía y negocios. Los 4.593 documentos seleccionados fueron estudiados con herramientas de análisis bibliométrico, haciendo uso del paquete Bibliometrix desarrollado en R (7; 2013). Se concluye que "Sentiment Analysis" e "Investor Sentiment" son las nociones principales vinculadas al término. La primera refiere a una herramienta para el procesamiento de información y en particular de texto. La segunda vincula al término "Sentiment" con el concepto de expectativas irracionales, o una forma de representar e incorporar al análisis desvíos en relación al agente racional. En una segunda etapa se profundizará el análisis mediante la lectura de los documentos identificados. Los resultados obtenidos forman parte de un conjunto de trabajos que buscan contar con información suficiente para respaldar y sugerir la incorporación del término "Sentiment"en los diccionarios de economía, al menos bajo las acepciones de "Sentiment Analysis" e "Investor Sentiment".

In this document we start a road on identifying the use of the word sentiment in economic literature. We identifying the documents in the economic literature in which the term is relevant through a search on the Scopus platform. The 4,593 selected documents were analyzed using bibliometric analysis tools, utilizing the 'Bibliometrix' package developed in R (7; 2013). We concluded that "Sentiment Analysis" and "Investor Sentiment" are the main concepts associated with the term. The former refers to a tool for information processing, particularly text analysis. The latter links the word sentiment to irrational expectations or a way to represent and incorporate deviations from rational agents into the analysis. The analysis will be deepened by examining the identified documents in a subsequent stage. Obtained results are part of a set of works aiming to have sufficient information to support and suggest the inclusion of the term sentiment in economics dictionaries, at least in the senses of "Sentiment Analysis" and "Investor Sentiment".
