El turismo es una actividad económica compleja y como tal se relaciona con diferentes dimensiones de la economía que hacen al desarrollo sostenible. El propósito de esta tesis es analizar las conexiones presentes entre los factores de producción capital natural, capital cultural, capital social y capital físico. Asimismo, se estudian las relaciones entre el producto turismo sostenible y dichos factores. Para ello se obtiene una base de datos de Scopus de 15.338 artículos de 1978 a 2023 de trabajos que toman metodologías de diferentes tipos para obtener las relaciones entre las variables. Al ser un sistema de relaciones que se retroalimentan, se aplica la metodología de Sistemas Complejos llamada Grafo Cíclico. Los resultados del metaanálisis revelan un efecto promedio positivo y significativo de 0,4162 sobre la relación entre los capitales de producción y el producto turismo sostenible, cuando las variables moderadoras (antigüedad y tamaño muestral) se encuentran en su media. Este hallazgo respalda la existencia de una vinculación consistente en la literatura entre los factores de capital y el producto turismo sostenible.

Tourism is a complex economic activity; therefore, it is connected to various economic dimensions contributing to sustainable development. This thesis aims to analyse the connections between the factors of production: natural capital, cultural capital, social capital, and physical capital. Additionally, it examines the relationships between the sustainable tourism product and these factors. To this end, a Scopus database of 15,338 articles from 1978 to 2023 was compiled, consisting of studies employing different methodologies to explore the relationships between the variables. Given that this is a feedback-driven system of relationships, the Complex Systems methodology known as Directed Cyclic Graph was applied. The meta-analysis results reveal a positive and significant average effect of 0.4162 on the relationship between the production capitals and the sustainable tourism output, when the moderating variables (study age and sample size) are at their mean values. This finding supports a consistent link in the literature between capital factors and sustainable tourism.
