Neumonía aguda y tromboembolismo pulmonar en el postoperatorio de adultos sometidos a cirugía de abdomen

Resumen:
Realizamos una revisión narrativa que estudió las características de la población adulta que sufre complicaciones respiratorias en el postoperatorio de la cirugía de abdomen. Nos centramos en la neumonía aguda y el tromboembolismo pulmonar, por su importancia y necesidad de diagnóstico y tratamiento precoz en los pacientes sometidos a cirugía de abdomen. El objetivo general fue revisar las características demográficas y las comorbilidades de la población que sufre neumonía aguda y/o tromboembolismo pulmonar. Para cumplir con el objetivo, hicimos búsquedas bibliográficas utilizando distintos filtros y palabras claves, así como varias bases de datos, de forma tal que se alcance un abordaje amplio y abarcable llegando a resultados acordes con nuestro objetivo.
We did a narrative review that examined the characteristics of the adult population who suffer from respiratory complications in the postoperative abdominal surgery. We have focused on acute pneumonia and pulmonary thromboembolism due to its importance and the need of both early diagnosis and treatment of patients who are undergoing the previously mentioned surgery. The aim was to analyze the demographic characteristics and comorbidities of the population mentioned above. To complete this task satisfactorily, we did bibliographic researches, making use of several databases as well as key words, so that we reached a broad but encompassing approach which provides fitting results regarding to the main objective.
