El ideario artiguista en la formación constitucional uruguaya
Resumen:
Se analiza la influencia de las ideas políticas del Prócer de nuestra nacionalidad don José Artigas, a través de los documentos de particular importancia como son las Instrucciones del Año XIII y los dos Proyectos de Constitución, el Proyecto de Constitución Federal y el Proyecto de Constitución Provincial. En dichos documentos históricos se fijaron las bases fundamentales, desde el punto de vista institucional, de lo que es hoy la República Oriental del Uruguay, con los conceptos de independencia, libertad, república, soberanía, y separación de poderes. Dicho pensamiento si bien recibió la influencia de las Constituciones norteamericanas, fue adaptado a la realidad de nuestra Provincia Oriental, habiendo servido de inspiración en la posterior formación constitucional argentina.
I analyze the influence of the political ideas of the leading man of our nation, Don José Artigas, through documents of particular relevance such as the “Instrucciones del Año XIII” (Instructions of 1813) and the two Draft Constitutions: the Draft Federal Constitution and the Draft Provincial Constitution. These documents contain the fundamental institutional ground of our present-day Oriental Republic of Uruguay: the concepts of independence, liberty, republic, sovereignty and separation of powers. Though this ideology was influenced by North American Constitutions, it was adapted to the reality of our own Provincia Oriental, and later became an inspiration for the Constitution of Argentina.
