Review of digital techniques applied to high-voltage transformer impulse-test.
Resumen:
Impulse test is a usual high-voltage test on equipment of power networks. This test emulates the overvoltage that exist in lighting storms. Particularly, it applies to transformers. There are standards for performing and evaluating the result of this test, but in some cases the decision of pass/fail is not easy to do. This paper presents a review of digital techniques to help the operator decide on the setting of the generator according to the standards and whether or not the transformer passes the test.
