Gastric cancer perforation
Perforación de cáncer gástrico
Resumen:
13 patients with perforation were ·observed among 1732 gastric canc.ers during a 21 year period at the Hospital de Clinicas of Montevideo. All the patients were old-aged. They were admitted with different conditions, sorne typical of gastroduodenal perforation, sorne pseudo-obstructive and sorne pointing to other acute abdominal affections. Simple closure of perforation was followed by a 33 %, gastric fistulization by 100% and gastrectomy by 25 % mortality. General immediate mortality was in the order of 38,4 % . A 13 years 4 months survival after gastrectomy is reported.
Se estudian 13 perforaciones observadas entre 1732 cánceres de estómago diagnosticados durante un periodo de 21 años en el Hospital de Clínicas de Montevideo. Todas fueron observadas en pacientes añosos. Se presentaron en diversas formas clínicas, algunas típicas, otras seudooclusivas, otras con síntomas que orientaban a diferentes condiciones abdominales agudas. Sólo se hizo el diagnóstico preoperatorio mortalidad del 33% la fistulización gástrica de un 100% y la gastrectomía de un 25%, siendo la mortalidad inmediata total del 38,4%. Se relata una sobrevida de 13 años 4 meses luego de gastrectomía.
