The paper refers to the author's experience during the last three years with 21 cases of pilonidal sinus treated by resection and primary closure using Swinton's technique. The author points out the need for agood selection of patients, a careful operatory technique and a severe post-operatory control. In this manner excellent results are obtained.
Se refiere la experiencia de los autores sobre 21 casos de senos pilonidales tratados con resección y cierre primario con la técnica de Swinton en los últimos 3 años. Se hace hincapié en la necesidad de unabuena selección de enfermos, de una técnica operatoria cuidadosa y de un severo control postoperatorio. Con esa forma de actuar se obtienen excelentes resultados.
