The authors the main features of an ambulatory surgeryprogramme.By means of this programme patients who are to beoperated on under local, regional or general anesthesia, in/ow-complexity operations, are offered the possibility ofdischarge on the same day of the operation, dealing withpost-operative at home. The authors emphasize the factthat this method can be successfully applied in Uruguay,including the Hospital de Clínicas
Se exponen las principales características de un programade cirugía ambulatoria.Por el mismo se brinda a pacientes operados conanestesia local, regional o general en operaciones de bajacomplejidad, la posibilidad del alta el mismo día de laintervención, cursando el post-operatorio en el domicilio.Destacamos que el método puede aplicarse conbeneficios en el Uruguay, incluyendo el Hospital deClínicas.
