El tema C.B.P. fue magníficamente tratado por Bonifacio Urioste en el XIII Congreso Uruguayo de Cirugía en el ano 1962 (373). Cuando uno lee dicho trabajo observa que no han habido grandes variaciones en el campo de la cirugía. Desde hace 40 años no han habido cambios técnicos que signifiquen una mayor eficacia curativa de la misma. Tal vez se asiste a un cambio táctico; las operaciones limitadas ganan terreno y ocupan hoy un lugar prioritario en el esquema terapéutico.
