Clínica! research on central venous catheterization and ensuing complications, the reasons for this research, its goals, the material and methods employed, aredescribed by the authors. Results obtained are analyzed and discussed. Special stress is laid on the importance of radiological control, due to the frequency ( 30 % )with which the catheter takes an anomalous position. 'I'he paper includes the conclusions arrived at.
Los autores presentan la investigación clinica realizada sobre el cateterismo venoso central y sus complicaciones. Se dan los motivos· y objetivos del mismo:Se describen el material y métodos. Se analizan los resultados obtenidos haciendo l:t discusión del os mismos. Se enfatiza especialmente la importancia del controlradiológico, por la frecuencia (30 % ) con que el catéter queda en posición anómala. Exponen las conclusiones a que llegan por el estudio realizado
