Surgical emergencias due to jejuno-ileal tumors
Urgencias quirúrgicas por tumores yeyunoileales
Resumen:
Retrospective analysis shows that 27 out of 41 jejuno- ileal tumors ( 65. 9 % ) were cases of urgency surgery; 29 of these tumors were malign and 6 benign . Almost ali cases ( 25 out of 27) had previously presented symptomatology over an average peried of 5-6months. The complication which determined surgery was intestinal occlusion in 48 % of cases; diggestive hemorrhage and peritonitis in 18. 5 % of cases. 62.9 %of patients suffering from malign tumors died as a consequence of this condition. Overall operatory deathrate was 33 o/o.
Un análisis retrospectivo de 41 tumores yeyunoieales, muestra que 27 de ellos ( el 65.9 % ) fueron operados de urgencia: 21 tumores malignos y 6 benignos. La caso totalidad de loscasos (25 de 27) tenían sintomatología previa, promedialmente de 5-6 meses de duración. La complicación que determinó la intervención fue la oclusión intestinal en ,el 48 % de los ca.sos,la hemorragia digestiva y la pe·ritonitis en el 18.5 % . El 62.9 % de los tumores malig;nos fallecieron como consecuencia de su enfermedad. La mortalidad operatoria global fue del 33 %-
