Resumen:

The paper discusses the problems with which surgeons and gynecologists are faced when sorne sector of the urinary tract is affected by abdomino - pelvictumJrs, mostly neoplasms of recto - sigmoid and genital organs. These complications may arise due to lesional extension of tumor, accidental lesion· during surgeryor functional sequelae due to neurologic alteration. There is a review of studies which should be carried out prior to surgery in order to ascertain the conditionof urinary tract and a listing o"f solutions for the different situations which may arise and which ineludes the use of prothesis.


Los autores exponen los problemas que se les plantean a los cirujanos y g'inecólogos ante el compromiso de algún sector del aparato urinariopor tumoraciones abdómino - pelvianas fundamentalmente neoplasmas de recto - sigmoide y de los órganos genitales, sean motivadospor la extensión lesiona! del tumor, por lesión accidental durante el acto quirúrgico o como secuela funcional por alteración neurológica.Se enumeran los estlUdios previos a realizar par-a la valo.ración de ese aparato urinario y luego se dan las soluciones a las distintas situaciones planteadas, incluyend-o la utilizaciónde prótésis.
