Professional hazards in operating room: effect of anesthetic agents
Riesgo profesional en la sala de operaciones: efecto de los agentes anestésicos
Resumen:
When an operating room is not adequately conditioned, a certain amount of anesthetic gases invade its environment. Their inhalatfon in subanestheticquantities but on repeated occasions, presents a series of hazards for operating room personnel. The paper analyzes their main toxica! effects onthe different parenchymae and suggests a series of measures aimed at reducing pollution and its consequences.
En las salas de operaciones que no están debidamente acondicionadas, pasan una determinada cantidad de gases anestésicos al aire ambiente.La inhalación de los mismos, en cantidades subanestésicas, pero en forma reiterada, expone al personal de las mismas a uina serie de riesgos. Se destacan los principales efectos tóxicos en los diferentes parénquimas, aconsejándose una serie de :medidas para disminuir la contaminación y sus consecuencias.
