Resumen:
This clinical case refers to a primary abscessof psoas to Klebsiella pneumoniae with evolutivemediastinal involvement, in a Diabetic female patientaged 61. There is a revision of literature. It isdifficult to make an early diagnosis given the inespecificityof clinical symptomatology. CAT scanproved to be the study with the best cost-benefitratio. Treatment is based on two pillars, antibiotictherapy and surgical drainage
Se analiza un caso clínico de un absceso primariodel psoas a Klebsiella pneumoniae, con compromisomediastinal evolutivo, en un paciente Diabético,de sexo femenino, de 61 años. Se haceuna revisión de la literatura. Se destaca la dificultadpara realizar un diagnóstico precoz dado lo inespecíficode la clínica. La tomografía axial computarizadademostró ser el estudio con mejor relacióncosto-beneficio. El tratamiento se fundamentaen 2 pilares, antibioticoterapia y drenaje quirúrgico.
