Resumen:
The authors present a rare case of synchronicand independent lesiona! association of medularcarcinoma of the thyroid with nade methastasisand Hürthle ce// carcinoma of the contralateralthyroid /obe. There is a lack of similar referencesin the reviewed literature. The authors describein detail diagnostic and therapeu- tical stepsfollowed with this patient. Bibliography revisionmade possible an update of diagnostic,therapeutical and prognostic aspects of bothtypes of thyroid cancer. The patient is diseasefree and in good condition ten months aftersurgery, with a strict follow-up.
Los autores presentan un raro caso deasociación lesiona! sincrónica e independientede carcinoma medular del tiroides conmetástasis ganglionares, y carcinoma de célulasde Hürthle del lóbulo tiroideo contralateral. Sedestaca la falta de referencias en la literaturarevisada de casos similares. Se describendetalladamente los pasos diagnósticos yterapéuticos seguidos con este paciente. Labibliografía consultada permitió realizar unapuesta al día de /os aspectos diagnósticos,terapéuticos y pronósticos de ambos tipos decánceres tiroideos. A diez meses de laintervención quirúrgica el paciente se encuentralibre de enfermedad y en buenas condiciones,debiendo continuar con un estricto controlevolutivo.
