Submaxillary salivary lithiasis
Litiasis salival submaxilar
Resumen:
A 72-year-old patient presented an interesting case of lithiasis in the left submaxi!lar gland. After suffering a classical case of salivary colic with gland tumefaction, there was spontaneous expulsion of three ptyaliths, one of which was over 2 cms, the other two being smaller. The patient was cured in a manner which is not usual and has subsequently been well.Ten days later, clinical and radiological studies showed no signs of lesion and the patient was totally free of symptoms.
Presentación de un caso interesante de litiasis de la glándula, submaxilar izquierda en un paciente de 72 años. El enfermo, luego de un cuadro clásico de cólico salivar con tumefacción glandular, logra en forma espontánea laexpulsión de tres cáfoulos, uno mayor dé 2 cm y otros dos de menor tamaño. Se obtiene así la curación de una manera no habitual, quedando bien posteriormente. El control clíntico y radiológico practicado no muestra ningún signo de lesión y estando el enfermo completamente libre de síntomas.
