Necrosis isquémica de la mano por cateterismo de la arteria radial
Resumen:
The author describes a case of ischemic necrosis of hand following punction of radial artery by Teflon catheter. The paper includes a review of indications and complications of percutaneous punction of radial artery. Existing literature refers to 8 cases in which this complication appeared; they are rare but grave and consequently certain precautions, indicated in this article, should be taken to prevent it.
Se presenta un caso de necrosis isquémica de la mano, luego de una punción de la arteria radial con catéter de Teflón. Se resumen las indicaciones y complicaciones de la punción percutánea de la arteria radial, encontrándose en la literatura 8 casos de complicaciones de este tipo, poco frecuentes, pero graves por lo cual para evitarla se deben tomar determinadas precauciones que se enumeran en el trabajo.
