Lucinschi, Alicia - Matteucci, Pablo

Resumen:

Authors present 12 cases of 80 to 94 year old patients whounderwent surgical emergency treatment for tornabdominal aorta aneurysms. Al/ cases presented severehemodynamical repercussion on admission. The aneurysm had been already diagnosed in ninecases, but patients had not been operated on because oftheir age and risky general condition.Six of the patients died. The other six were dischargedfrom hospital and considered cured. This means theprevious 80 year old limit for abdominal aorta aneurysmsurgery should no longer be taken into account.
