Resumen:
Necrotizing Cellulitis has been known under different synonymies since the beginning of this century. A review of bibliography consulted and the studyof 15 cases treated by the authors over a twoyear period, indicate that it is a rare disease, a ·wide knowledge of which would be of great interest because ofits high morbility and death-rate. The primary and most serious fact is progressive necrosis of subcutaneous tissue, with eventual subsequent necrosis of skin,accompanied by a serious toxic condition caused by especific germs. It affects in general those patients who have had prior diseases. Elective treatment consists of surgical incisions fordrainage and debridement. General tract antibiotics are of secondary importance.
La Celulitis Necrotizante es una afección conocida desde comienzos de este siglo con distintas sinonimias. Del análisis de la bibliografía consultada '3 del estudio de 15 observaciones que los autores trataron en un lapso de 2 años, se concluye qUe se trata de una enfermedad poco frecuente pierde gran interés en su divulgación por su alfa morbilidad y mortalidad. El hecho primario -s capital es la necrosis progr,esiva del tejido celular subcutáneo, con eventual necrosis de piel a posteriori, con cuadro tóxico grave y causadapor gérmenes inespecíficos. Transcurriendo en general en un paciente con enfermedades previas. Su tratamiento de elección son las incisiones quirúrgicas de drenaje y el debridamien' El antibiótico por vía general es de importancia secundaria.
