"Among recourses for obliteralion of a parietal abdominaldefect, parietal relaxing incisions have a role notye! determined and usefulness not ye! well defined.They may be a myth or a physiopathological and biomechanicreality. Generally, what is sought by relaxing incisionsis more the slipped eflect than the release ofthe tension on the edges of the opening to be closed.However, the use of same may be determined on thebasis of strict concepts.
Dentro de los recursos para obliterar un defecto pa•rietal abdominal, las incisiones de relajación parietalcumplen un rol no bien determinado y de utilidad noprecisada. Pueden ser tanto un mito como una realidadfisiopatológica y biomecánica. En general se buscacon ellas más la función de deslizamiento que la dedisminuir la tensión de los bordes de la brecha a cerrar.Sin embargo, su empleo puede ser determinado en basea conceptos estrictos. La presente comunicacióntiene por objeto buscar modelos útiles para cada cir•cunstancia particular y tentar precisar las indicacionesen las mismas.
