The paper refers to a case of partial gigantism of the lower limb, caused by congenital arteriovenous fistula.Following a treatment of the varicose lesions and the interruption of sorne shunts, the skeleton was shortened at the leg level, using Müller's technique,.. which permitted a rapid recovery and eliminated the problemsderived from long immobilizations.
Se presenta un caso de gigantismo parcial de miembro inferior, provocado por fístulas arteriovenosas congénitas. Luego de tratadas las lesiones varicosas e interrumpidos algunos shunts se practicóel acortamiento del esqueleto a nivel de la pierna con la técnica de Müller, lo que permitió una rápida recuperación, eliminando los problemas derivados de las largas inmovilizaciones
