Las recidivas pelvianas de los cánceres del recto
Resumen:
The author discusses the general aspects of pelvic recurrence of cancer of the rectum with an analysis of the clinical material available. Etiopathologically the fundamental mechanism in recurrences is retrograde intramural diffusion and implantation in the mucous membrane. Prevention of recurrence can be di vided in two successive stages: during treatment of the primary tumor and in postoperatory control. Surgical and radiotherapeutical aspects in the treatment of pelvic recurrences are analyzed; the combination of both types of treatment applied systematically is of great importance.
Se hacen consideraciones sobre las recidivas pelvianas de los cánceres de recto, haciendo en primer término un análisis del material clínico disponible.Se hacen consideraciones etiopatogénicas, destacándose como mecanismos fundamentales en la producción de recidivas la difusión intramural retrógrada y la implantaciónmucosa. , Se destacan los hechos más ímportantes respecto a la prevención de dichas recidivas, haciéndolo en dos etapas sucesivas: durante el tratamiento del tumor primarioy en el transcurso del control postoperatorio. Se analizan aspectos referentes al tratamiento de la.s recidivas pelvianas, del punto de vista quirúrgico y radioterápico,destacándose la importancia de la combinación de ambos tipos de tratamiento en forma sistemática.
