Cystic dilations of the bile duct
Dilataciones quísticas de la vía biliar
Resumen:
Four cases of cystic dilatation of the extrahepatic biliarviae are presented together with a revision of the tapie. The authors come to the conclusion that surgery is thebest treatment and that in the case of the most frequentcases, the so-cal/ed choledochus cysts, ideal treatmentconsists of total resection of the cyst and biliodigestivederivation. Interna/ derivations are a bad solution due tothe high incidence of complications that makereoperation neccesary and do not avoid cancerdevelopment, a frequent evolutive complication of thispathology.
