Authors discuss their experience with 34 cases ofcomplete extraction of axillar ganglial mass, performedas an isolated operation in the treatment of lymphaticmetastasis of a variety of tumors, melanomas in particular.They specially emphasize the importance of certaintechnical aspects . transverse incision of the skin,careful handling of the anatomy & function of mainpectoral muscle, preservation of the indemnity of thenerves of the main serratus and the latssimus dorsimuscle, close and aspirative drainage in order to reducepost-operative morbidity to a mínimum.
Los autores presentan su experiencia a propósito de34 vaciamientos ganglionares axilares realizados comooperación aislada en el tratamiento de metástasis linfáticasde una variedad de tumores, en especial melanomas.Enfatizan especialmente la importancia de ciertosaspectos técnicos -incisión transversa de piel,respeto anatómico y funcional del pectoral mayor, conservaciónde la indemnidad de los nervios del serratomayor y del dorsal ancho, drenaje cerrado y aspirativo-para disminuir al mínimo la morbilidad postoperatoria
