An analysis was made of the different methods employed in treating hemorrhages due to gastritis, keeping to recommendation of medica! treatment in mildcases, and the necessity of pre-operatory diagnosis by means of radiological and endoscopical examination. According to the evidence obtained and the characteristicsof the hemorrhage, the patient should be submitted to vagotomy with a pyloroplastia and antrectomy, or simply a sub-total gastrectomy.

Se analizan Jos diversos procedimientos empleados para tratar las hemorragias por gastritis manteniendo la indicación de tratamiento médico en formas leves eindicando la necesidad de un diagnóstico preoperatorio dP. causal radiológico y endoscópico. De acuerdo al estado y a las características de la hemorragia y al enfermose realizará vaguectomia asociada a una píloroplastia o antrectomia, o simplemente gastrectomia subtotal.
