Spontaneous rupture of splenic artery aneurysm in the course of pregnancy: maternal-fetal survival and normal delivery at term
Rotura espontánea de aneurisma de la arteria esplénica en el curso de embarazo: sobrevida materno-fetal y parto normal a término
Resumen:
A case is presented of a spontaneous rupture of a .splenic artery aneurysm in early pregnancy. It seems to be the second case reported with maternal and fetalsurviva! after the rupture. Comments are made on the diagnostic and therapeutic problems pose by this rare and serious abdominal emergency. Particularemphasis is placed on the importance of its knowledge, in order to improve its prognosis.
Se pres,enta una observación de rotura d,e un aneurisma de arteria esplénica en conjunción con embarazo cursando su primertrimestre. Es, apar-entemente, la segunda descrita en la literatura con sobrevida materno fetal luego del accid•ente y su solución quirúrgica,. Se estudian lo,s problemas de diagnósticoy tratamiento quirúrgico especiales qúe ofrece esta rara y grave situación de urgencia abdominal. Se dest,ac,a el valor de c,onocer la entidad y estar alert,a a su presentación si sepretende mejorar su pronóstico ominoso.
