Cirrhosis and term pregnancy: gastrointestinal bleeding and fetal death, caesarean section and portocaval anastomosis
Cirrosis y embarazo a término: hemorragia digestiva y muerte fetal, cesárea y anastomosis portocava
Resumen:
The paper presents the results of the observation of ci rrhosis of the liver with portal hipertension and serious digestive hemorrhage due to rupture of esophagogastricvarices in a patient with an eightmonth pregnancy. A caesarean (extraction of the dead fetus) as well as anastomosis termino lateral porto-cava, was performed in the same surgicalprocedure. The association cirrhosis-pregnancy and the sur'gical tactics employed, are discussed.
Se presenta una observación de cirrosis hepática con hipertensión portál y hemorragia digestiva grave por ruptura de várices esofagogástricas, en una enferma quecursaba el 8o mes de embarazo. Se practicó cesárea ( extracción de feto muerto) y anastomosis porto-cava terminolateral en el mismo acto operatorio. Se analiza la asociación de cirrosis-embarazo y la táctica quirúrgica seguida.
