Resumen:
Report on a polyp a six-year-old child, which we believe to be the first such case in national literature. The paper contains a brief review of its frequency, symptomatology, pathology, diagnosis and treatment .Author remarks on the non-malignant nature of polyp and on possibility of endoscopic treatment.
Se presenta un caso de pólipo juvenil de colon descendente, el primero publicado en la literatura nacional. Se realiza una breve reseña de su frecuencia, sintomatología, caracteres anatomopatológicos, diagnóstico y tratamiento destacando: 1) la ausencia de predisposición maligna; 2) la po,ibilidad de excéresis endoscópica, técnica de amplias perspectivas.
