The chordoma is a bony tumor, originating in ectoscopicremains of the notochordal tissue; its most frequent topography is found at sacra! leve!. lts diagnosisis general/y belated and the studies performedconsist of images which are fundamental farits detection.Treatment is basical!y surgica/ and is performedby a multidisciplinary team. Radiotherapy is anadjuvant option.Local recurrence is the rule and constitutes maincause of death, with an overa/! survival at 5 yearsof50%.


El cordoma es un tumor óseo, originado en restosectópicos del tejido notocorda/, su tupografía másfrecuente es a nivel sacro. Su diagnóstico es habitualmentetardío, siendo los estudios por imágenesfundamentales para el mismo. El tratamientoes básicamente quirúrgico, y a cargo de equipomultidisciplinario. La radioterapia es una opciónadyuvante.Le recidivia local es la regla siendo ésta taprincipal causa de muerte, con una sobrevida globala 5 años del 50%.
