Resumen:

A case of operated and cured insulinoma leadsto a revision of existing literature.One of the main problems líes in attaining diagnosticconfirmation which requires discarding othercauses far hypoglycernia and multiendocrinal neoplasias.To this should be added the difficult topographicdiagnosis. The main reasons is the smallsize of these tumors and the highly sensitivity ofthe numerous procedures employed. Palpation togetherwith intraoperative ultrasound scanning isthe most cost-effective among them.Surgery, whenever possible, is still sale curativeand elective treatment far enucleation.Operative mortality is low, between O and 7.7%but morbility is high, dorninated by pancreatic fistulaswhich may be found in almost 49% of cases


A propósito de un caso de insulinoma operado ycurado se hace una revisión de la literatura. Sedestaca la dificultad para hacer la confirmación diagnósticaque obliga a descartar otras causas de hipoglicerniay de neoplasias multiendócrinas y la deldiagnóstico topográfico. Ello se debe al pequeñotamaño de estos tumores y a la muy variable sensibilidadde los numerosos procedimientos que sehan utilizado. La palpación junto a la ultrasonografíaintraoperatorias son los que se presentan comomás costo-efectivos. Sigue siendo la cirugía el únicotratamiento curativo y de elección: la enucleación,si es posible. La m01talidad operatoria es bajaentre O y 7,7% pero la morbilidad alta, dominadapor las fístulas pancreáticas que pueden llegar averse hasta casi el 49% de los casos.
