Cien años de Cirugía Biliar
Resumen:
July 15th. of this year will mark the centennial of cholecystectomy.This operation was first successfully performe d on a human being by Carl Langenbuch, Professor of Surgery in Berlín University. He planned the operation by irst performing it on dos and on corpses, so as to perfect ali technical details. In the years that followed he performed a large number of similar operations. He also conceived the idea of the choledocotomy, but never performed it.
El 15 de julio de este año se cumple el centenario de la colecistectomía. Esta operación fue realizada por primera vez en el hombre, con éxito, por Carl Langenbuch, Profesor de Cirugía en la Universidad de Berlín. Este ciujano planeó la intevención realizándola en el perro y en el cadver a fin de perfeccionar todos los detalles tcnicos. En los años siguientes realizó un gran número de operaciones similares. Ideó también la coledocotomía que no llegó a efectuar.
