Fístula esófago-pleural tardía post-neumonectomía
Resumen:
The perforation of the esophagus in the pleural cavityas a late comp'lication after a pneumenectomy is arare ocurrence but often fatal. A case is presented of aperforation four years alter pneumenectomy of the leftlung. Discussed are the pathogenic mechanisms andthe treatment used, emphasis being laid on the necessityof promoting aggresive therapeutic measures inview of curren! failure of conservative techniques.
La perforación del esófago en la cavidad pleural comocomplicación alejada luego de una neumonectomía,es una complicación rara y a menudo fatal. Se presenta,un caso que la padece 4 años después de unaneumonectomía izquierda. Se discuten los mecanismospatogénicos, el tratamiento empleado y se insisteen la necesidad de efectuar una terapéutica agresiva,debido a los habituales fracasos de las medidas conservadoras
