Objetivos y alcances de la mastectomía sub-radical

Resumen:

Evaluation of 39 patients suffering from Grade I y IIbreast cancer treated by Merola's operation, confirmsvalidity of this mastectomy which involves the rightextent of radicality, is well tollerated, has low merbilityand sequella, presents advantages vis - á - vis theMeyer - Halstead having neither the indications nos theimportance of complete axillary évidement.


Los autores analizan 39 pacientes portadorasde un cáncer de mama grado I y II tratadaspor Operación de Mérola. Insisten en el empleode esta mastectomía de justa radicalidad,bien tolera-da, de escasa morbilidad y secuelas,estableciendo sus ventajas con respecto al Meyer- Halsted, sus indicaciones, y la importanciadel vaciamiento axilar completo.
