Resumen:

Clinical case of extensive hepatectomy for curingpurposes, of mu/tiple metastases of carcinoidtumor and survival free of disease for 57 months.lt should be highlighted that this procedure wasrendered possible due to the slow evolutioncharacterizing this type of metastases as well asto the fact that it was favored by compensatoryhipertrophy determined by hydatid liver cyst. Thiscondition has high incidence in our country.There are no reports in international literatureof a similar association.


Se presenta un caso clínico de una extensahepatectomía con criterio curativo, de metástasismúltiples de un tumor carcionoide de colon conuna sobrevida libre de enfermedad de 57 meses.Es de resaltar que este procedimiento fue posiblepor la lenta evolución que caracteriza a estetipo de metástasis y ser favorecida por una hipertrofiacompensadora determinada por un quiste hidáticohepático, entidad de alta incidencia en nuestropaís y de cuya asociación no existen reporte enla literatura internacional.
