Resumen:
The authors present two cases of primitive tumors of thesternum which were treated by means of extensiveresections. Parietal defects which were situated in theupper third in one case and the /ower one in the other,were repaired with a "sandwich" made of Mar/ex andmethylmatacrilate with an epiploon covering. Thiscombination made possible a good anatomica/, cosmeticand functional result, with a reasonable protectionagainst infections
Se presentan dos casos de tumores primitivos deesternón que fueron tratados con amplias resecciones.Los defectos parietales ubicados uno en el terciosuperior y otro en el tercio inferior, fueron reparados conun "sandwich" de Mar/ex y metil metacrilato, con unacobertura de epiplón, permitiendo con esta combinaciónobtener un buen resultado anatómico, cosmético yfuncional brindando también una razonable proteccióncontra infecciones.
