 In a rare case of congenia! cyst of the common bile duct there was perforation secondary to lithiasic obstruction of terminal choledocus. This gave rise to biliaryperitonitis and bile collected i n an extensive retroperitoneal area. This type of condition is diffi- : Sociedad en 1960. Los autores presentan una rara observación de un quiste congénito del hepático común, perforado secundariamente a la obstrucción Iitiásicadel colédoco terminal y generando una peritonitis biliar y una colección biliosa retroperitoneal extensa. Analizan la observación, intentandodestacar las dificultades experimentadas en su reconocimiento y tratamiento quirúrgico. Enfatizan la importancia de esta.r informados de esta eventualidad, a los efectos depoderla diagnosticar. Eshldian -revisando la literatura- los aspectos de mayor interés del tema.
