Resumen:
Sumario:Contemporary optimism, which can be considered an act of faith in various modern ideologies, seems to contradict the existential despair of many and requires reflection to understand the origin of this attitude and the conditions for authentic hope. This work delves into Joseph Ratzinger-Benedict XVI’s teaching on this theological virtue. The first part studies the process of secularization of hope, while the second presents Christian hope as an alternative to ideologized hope. It concludes by pointing out the relational nature of this virtue and the place where it is realized.
