Sumario: | The starting point of this paper is the well-known crisis of politics and, in particular, the attacks on the principle of political representation. It would seem, then, that the solution lies in a re-politicisation of our communities and a greater presence of political participation. Why is the recovery of political participation utopian at the present? Beyond the non-existence of channels, the question remains open as to when it is possible to dedicate time to such participation. Indeed, present-day life does not seem to leave time for almost anything. Rosa explains the phenomenon of social acceleration, but devotes little time to the political repercussions beyond the consideration of another paradox, as we shall see, regarding the role of the state in acceleration. In this study, we shall attempt, after setting out Rosa's theses, to draw some conclusions with regard to present political participation. |
