Resumen:
Sumario:This article is confined exclusively to the Thomistic text De Trinitate in order to bring together in a synthetic way Thomas' own efforts to channel the sacred doctrine of the Trinity rationally, and not via authority. In this, two features should be emphasised: on the one hand, the youthful period of this commentary and, on the other, its purpose. That is to say, the pages of this text are not properly speaking a gloss on the handwriting of SeverinusBeotius, but rather Thomas' opportunity to find “a correct solution” to a series of epistemic problems raised by theology in general. Consequently, and within the framework of the present question, we will pay attention to the handwriting of this friar as far as his classificatory vision of the sciences is concerned, apart from the fact that the same task is effectively repeated years later by the same Dominican, although in a different way, when commenting on the Aristotelian treatises.
