Sumario:This article aims to present the results of a diagnostic study in a technological public educational center in Montevideo, Uruguay. The work, carried out in 2021, aimed to study the factors associated with weaknesses in evaluating the project of said center. The methodological approach was qualitative, through the case study strategy, with the application of various techniques -analysis of two documents, three exploratory interviews with institutional references, two semi-structured interviews with a teacher and the coordinator, and a survey of the teaching team- for data collection. The study concludes that an inoperative instrument was applied to evaluate the organization's center project. The phenomena that cause this weakness are explained fundamentally by a teaching team poorly trained to evaluate projects and ailments in disseminating evaluation results. To strengthen the evaluation of the project is necessary to work on an Organizational Improvement Plan based on lines of action that strengthen the center's human resources, design an internal evaluation instrument and organize the teaching coordination.
