Resumen:
Sumario:Outdoor public spaces are essential elements in the organization and operation of a city. One of its characteristics is the quality of life that derives from its use and the environmental habitability is an indicator of this. The warm semi-dry climate of the city of El Grullo, Jalisco, Mexico, can affect the conditions of the public spaces that exist in its urban fabric. It was considered important to carry out an environmental habitability study in two main outdoor public spaces of the town, such as the Municipal Garden and the Municipal Alameda. The objective of this research was to evaluate the degree of environmental habitability in the mentioned spaces, the analysis and estimation of meteorological and complementary variables. A descriptive, non-experimental and correlational methodology was used. Information was collected with the application of 204 users, space and urban context information cards in the transition period from warm to cold. For data analysis and processing, Pearson's correlation was used to indicate the level of association of the meteorological, complementary and ordinal variables. It was found that meteorological variables are important influencing factors on the level of environmental habitability of users in the public spaces studied and serve as a means of information to society and municipal bodies to contribute to better planning and restoration of common areas.
